Forced Organ Harvesting In China Found To Be More Important Than Previously Thought
2 min readFrom SBSNews, it was reported that the China Tribunal, headed by Sir Geoffrey Nice, as an independent investigative body, declared that it is “beyond a doubt” Falun Gong practitioners and Uighurs have been targeted for their organs. Furthermore, a lawyer named Hamid Sabi who is working for them, has also told the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) committee to act on the findings of those reports.
The China Tribunal’s findings says the Chinese government is harvesting the organs of religious groups and ethnic minorities on a “significant scale”. Since being created in 2018 by the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse In China (ETAC), the Tribunal has handed in conclusive reports made from investigations about China showing that the main target is Falun Gong practitioners, followed by the Muslim Uighurs. China profits over $1 billion a year from the organ transplant industry; Sir Nice, at a United Nations event, told world leaders to step up because the findings required “immediate action”.
This is an atrocity against humanity and human rights.
